Curtis Garners NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week Honors

Kelly Curtis Springfield, Mass. - April 25, 2011 - Kelly Curtis was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week after guiding the Pride to a second-place finish at the Springfield Invitational on Saturday.

A junior from Princeton, N.J., Curtis had a standout performance as she won the javelin with a toss of 115-03 while also leaping to a winning height of 5-04.25 in the high jump.

Curtis will look to continue her success this upcoming weekend at the NEWMAC Championships hosted at Coast Guard.
