SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 16, 2003 – Springfield College junior back
Kim Stevens (North Knox, Maine) scored her third goal of the season with 28:35 left in the second half but No. 7 Middlebury was too much for No. 14 Springfield, defeating the Pride, 3-1, this evening at Benedum Field.
The Panthers got on the board first when senior forward
Char Glessner (Ipswich, Mass.) scored her first goal of the night off an assist from sophomore forward
Allison Smith (Darien, Conn.) at 14:28 of the first half. After Stevens tied the game for the Pride early in the second frame, Middlebury sophomore forward
Ashley Lyddane (Greenwich, Conn.) put the Panthers on top for good with a goal at 15:57 of the second. Glessner added her second tally with 4:10 left in the game.

Lindsey Pardue (Houston, Texas) made 11 saves in net for the Pride.
Springfield falls to 3-2 on the season while Middlebury improves to a 3-0.
