Adam Hughes Selected Top Track Athlete By ECAC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 4, 2002 - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has selected Springfield College junior Adam Hughes as its Division III Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

Hughes,, who hails from Bridgewater, Conn., led the Pride to a second-place finish at the RPI Quad Meet in Troy, N.Y., on March 30. He placed first 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.2, and won in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.9. Hughes qualified for the ECAC and New England Outdoor Championships in both events.

Hughes was also named Springfield College's Maroon Club Male Athlete of the Week.
