



Providence, R.I. - April 14, 2009 - In a non-conference matchup, the Springfield College women's tennis team fell at Roger Williams, 6-3, on Tuesday afternoon. Funmi Olowookere picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles to pace SC.At No. 6 singles, Beth Slotnick won in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0. In the double competition, Kristi Maltz and Slotnick won at No. 3 doubles with a 9-7 decision.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
