Men's Gymnastics Earns Several All-America Honors at USAG Championships

Williamsburg, Va. - March 30, 2013 - Several Springfield College men's gymnasts competed in the individual portion of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championship at Kaplan Arena.

After Friday's team competition, the top eight gymnasts in each event competed on Saturday. The top six finishers on Saturday earned All-America honors for their efforts.

Highlighting the day was Jimmy Pezzino, who was honored as the USA Gymnastics Senior Athlete of the Year.

Jon Zirna finished third on the pommel horse after totaling a 14.050, and Chris Jost tied for fourth on the vault with a 14.550. Last year's USAG National Champion, Ryan Ponce placed fifth on the still rings after scoring a 14.450. Additionally, Kevin Miner scored a 13.700 to finish fifth on the parallel bars.

On the floor exercise, Josh placed eighth with a 13.200, as did Tucker McClure on the high bar after posting a 13.550.
