Nally Earns Another EIVA Tait Conference Player of the Week Honor

- For the second time this month, AJ Nally
was honored for his outstanding play as he was selected as the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Tait Conference Player of the Week. Nally led Springfield to a 2-1 week, including a 1-1 mark in league action.
A senior from Rochester, N.Y. had a milestone week for Springfield as he became the program's all-time career leader for digs in the Pride's 3-1 win over Harvard. Against the Crimson, Nally totaled 16 kills and 17 digs to pass former Springfield standout Eduardo Stawinski's '05 career mark of 787 digs late in the third game.
In a tough 3-2 loss to rival Juniata on Saturday night, Nally totaled 21 kills and 16 digs and then was instrumental in Springfield's 3-1 win at St. Francis on Sunday. Against the Red Flash, Nally recorded a match-high 24 kills at an impressive .450 clip to go along with seven digs.
For the week, Nally averaged 4.69 kills, .69 set assists, 3.08 digs, .38 blocks and 5.00 points per set.
Head Coach Charlie Sullivan
With eight national championships to his credit, Charlie Sullivan will enter his 16th season as head coach of the men's volleyball team in 2014. In 15 previous years at the helm, Sullivan owns an overall record of 256-158 for a .618 winning percentage. Read more
