



Springfield, Mass. - November 15, 2010 - The tandem of Anthony Salvucci and Ryan O’Connell earned All-Region awards following the NCAA New England Regional Championships this past Saturday.The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized nearly 560 athletes who finished in the top 35 individually at one of the nine regional sites this past season for cross country in Divison III.
Salvucci, a sophomore from Burlington, Mass., lead the Pride to and 11th-place finish out of 49 participating teams running in the race. He recorded a time of 26:22.8, placing him 25th overall. O’Connell, a sophomore from Middleboro, Mass., recorded a time of 26:35.5 to finish in 32nd place in a race containing 333 runners.
Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
