



Babson Park, Mass. - January 21, 2013 - Both Kenny Pancoast and Alex Berthiaume were honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for their efforts last week. Pancoast was named the NEWMAC Men's Diver of the Week for the second-straight week, while Berthiaume earned NEWMAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.Berthiaume, who hails from Springfield, Mass., was tremendous on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 22 points per game while shooting 17-for-29 (58.6%) from the field.
He opened the week with a dominating performance in a 92-51 over Wheaton, pouring in 28 points in just 26 minutes of action. Berthiaume went connected on 10 of his 13 field goal attempts, including all six of his bids from downtown.
On Saturday, he led the Pride to its fifth-straight win as he tallied 16 points in a 66-65 come-from-behind win at Clark.
Pancoast, a native of Monroe, Conn., had a standout showing in a dual meet at Williams on Saturday. The senior had a dominant showing on the one-meter board, producing a national-qualifying score of 320.40 to earn first-place points. Earlier in the meet, the Monroe, Conn. product took third on the three-meter with a 260.18.
