The Lord Jeffs, now 1-0, took over the number one spot, nabbing 12 of the 22 first-place votes, and totalling 199 points.
After being voted No. 1 the first week of the poll, Springfield is now No. 2 with 186 total points. The Pride, whose only loss was to then-No. 23-ranked (nationally) Alfred on a tie-breaking touchdown with 38 seconds to go, grabbed five first-place votes.
Curry College (3-1) moved up from No. 5 to No. 3 with 114 points and four first-place votes. Trinity (1-0) rose two spots from No. 6 to No. 4 with 113 points. And Williams (1-0) moved up from No. 7 to No. 5 with 105 points and the remaining first-place vote.
In 6th through 10th are: WPI (3-1) with 68 points, Framingham State (3-1) with 66 points, Endicott (3-1) with 61 points, Maine Maritime (2-1) with 46 points, and Plymouth State (3-1) with 45 points.
Also receiving votes are: Norwich (34), Middlebury (26), Mount Ida (23), Tufts (13), and Worcester State (12).
Springfield will next play the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (1-3) of Kings Point, New York this Saturday at SC's Amos Alonzo Stagg Field at 4 pm.
