Burrell, who hails from Warwick, R.I., continued his outstanding senior year as he made the most of his three returns at Utica. Burrell returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown and returned two punts for 76 yards to help Springfield to a 43-16 win at Utica. His 70-yard punt return early in the third quarter set up Springfield's first touchdown of the second half. Burrell, who entered the game ranked sixth in the nation in punt returns and seventh in kickoff returns, improved his per return averages for both punt and kick returns.
Flanigan, a native of Auburn, N.Y. recorded two tackles for a loss of 13 yards and blocked a punt that led to a field goal in the Pride's conference victory. He also deflected a pass headed for a player wide open in the flat and registered a sack for an 11-yard loss.
The Pride return home after a three-game road trip to take on Husson this Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm.
