



Complete ResultsCambridge, Mass. - February 21, 2009 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team finished second in a tri-meet at MIT on Saturday afternoon after it defeated MIT but fell to top-ranked Ithaca.
The Pride fell to the Bombers, 184.700-182.675 but was able to down the host Engineers, 182.675 - 179.550.
Springfield had a great deal of success on the vault as it has all season, this time taking the the top four spots, with Jacqueline Mazzola leading the way with a first place score of 9.550. Christina Pagella took second with a 9.425, while Brittany Davis took third with a 9.400. Jenna Williams rounded out the Pride's scoring with a 9.350.
In the uneven bars, Williams also took fourth with a 9.475, while Ashley Moreck placed fifth with a 9.250. Christine Pagella also put together a solid meet as she placed tied for fifth in the floor routine with a 9.475. Penelope Bohunko captured second in the balance beam with a 9.35 and finished second in the meet.



Cheryl Raymond, who will be entering her 34th year as the women's gymnastics coach and assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College in 2013-2014, is one of the top college coaches in the region. Read more.
