The Marlborough, Mass. native guided the Springfield offense to 463 total yards on offense, including 395 on the ground. The Pride continued to control the ground game as it entered the game against the Mustangs ranked first in the nation in rushing yards per game at 384.8.
For the game, Carter ran for 181 yards on 22 carries and three touchdowns to go along with a a two-point conversion. He rushed for a 10-yard and 47-yard touchdown score, adding a one-yard touchdown after a 45-yard run, all in the third quarter.
Carter and the Pride will return to the field on Saturday afternoon when they travel for a conference clash at Hartwick at 4 pm.
