Elizabeth Saia (Wallingford, Conn.) picked up a pair of second place finishes in the 100m with a time of 13.43 and in the 200m in 28.29. The Pride had three top-ten finishers in the 100m, including Katherine Saia (Wallingford, Conn.) in sixth (13.88) and Alex Shaw (South Windsor, Conn.) in ninth (14.12).
In the 4x100 relay, Springfield was the runner-up with a time of 52.15.
Springfield had two other second place finishers on Saturday, including Abigail Wright (Pittsfield, Mass.) in the 1500m run with a time of 5:02.65 and Abby Clark (Holderness, N.H.) in the 100 hurdles (16.49). Erin Womboldt (Falmouth, Mass.) took third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.62.
Darian Dailey (East Providence, R.I.) led Springfield in the jumps, finishing third in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. Rachel Kaliff placed fifth in the triple jump and Womboldt took 10th in the long jump.
In the 800m run, Sam Pomroy (Lebanon, Maine) finished with a time of 2:25.88, good for third place and Wright followed in fifth (2:30.11).
Other top finishers for Springfield included Sarah Skillin, who took ninth in the 400m (1:06.94). Colleen Rice (Queensbury, N.Y.) finished sixth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:11.89 while Clark finished eighth (1:16.50). Carly Markos (Wallkill, N.Y.) and Lauren Dumaine (California, Ky.) both competed in the discus for the Pride, finishing ninth and tenth, respectively.
The 4x200 relay and shot put were cancelled due to weather conditions.
Springfield will compete again at Middlebury on Saturday.
