



Babson Park, Mass. - October 28, 2012 - With the threat of severe weather throughout New England this week, the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced a series of schedule changes for its upcoming conference tournaments. The opening rounds of the field hockey, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball championships, originally scheduled for Tuesday, have been postponed until Wednesday, October 31. The men’s soccer first round will still be played on Wednesday as well. Semifinals for all NEWMAC tournaments will follow on Saturday with the championships to be decided on Sunday, November 4.
In field hockey action, fourth-seeded Springfield will host fifth-seeded Clark at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at Stagg Field.
The second-seeded women's volleyball team will not compete until Saturday when it competes in the semifinals hosted at Wellesley College.
The men's soccer team enters the tournament as the third seed and will take on Coast Guard on Saturday at 1:30 pm at Babson College.
After its third-straight regular season title, the women's soccer team will host both the semifinals and championship, with a berth in the 2012 NCAA Division III tournament on the line.
