Kambara Leads Men's Cross Country To 28th at N. E. Championships

BOSTON, Oct. 8. 2004 – Springfield College sophomore
Tetsuji Kambara (Osaka, Japan) was the top SC runner at Friday's New England Cross Country Championship held at Franklin Park. Kambara placed 89th out of the 315-man field with a time of 26:30.
The Pride finished 28th overall out of 48 participating schools.
Sophomore
Pat Hepper (Bernards, N.J.) crossed the finish line second for the Pride (27:16, 148th) followed by senior
Pat DeRocco (Utica, N.Y.) (27:34, 173rd). Right behind DeRocco was sophomore
Pat Gann (Guilford, Conn.) who completed the eight-kilometer course in 27:34. Co-captain
Steve Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the top five for SC (27:50, 190th).

Head Coach Bryan Brown

Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
