When a Springfield College Team Travels to Host School/Site
* When our team arrives at your campus, the student-athletes that need assistance will check in with the host ATC. Each team will come prepared with the athletic training supplies needed. The head coach will have each athlete’s emergency information. Teams that travel with an ATC are Varsity Football, Junior Varsity Football and Men’s Lacrosse. We will contact the host athletic trainers 24 hours in advance of the contest to inform them about the needs of our team traveling to their school.
The Springfield College Athletic Training staff thanks you in advance for providing athletic training services to our teams.
Sickle Cell Trait Testing
In January, 2013, the NCAA passed legislation requiring sickle cell trait testing for all incoming student-athletes beginning in the fall of 2013. All new (including transfer student-athletes) will have to show proof of sickle cell testing or sign a waiver for sickle cell testing. Returning student-athletes are required to have this done by fall 2014 but we are asking that everyone get this done as soon as possible.
Below are the following forms:
Phone numbers for the newborn testing center in each state
Verification of testing form
Information on getting results and/or getting tested
Testing Waiver
If you have any questions, please contact the compliance officer, Kiki Jacobs, or head athletic trainer, Barclay Dugger.
