Men's Soccer Falls To MIT, 4-1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., October 11, 2003 – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) senior forward
Nick Nestle scored twice for the Engineers as they defeated Springfield College, 4-1, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men’s soccer match this afternoon.
MIT (8-1-1) junior forward
Jose-Ramon Torradas had two assists as the Engineers pulled away with two unanswered goals in the second half.
The Pride scored on an own goal in the 24th minute of play off a corner kick from senior forward
Ryan Lavner (Shrewsbury, Mass.).
Springfield College junior goalkeeper
Tom Bowden (Havertown, Pa.) saved four shots in the match.
SC falls to 2-5-3 on the season, and 0-1-2 in NEWMAC play. It will next be at Williams College on Wednesday, October 15, at 3:00 p.m.
