Pocius Earns All-America Honors on Uneven Bars at NCGA Championship



Ithaca, N.Y. - March 22, 2014 - Springfield College's Lauren Pocius (Wallingford, Conn.) earned her second All-America honor in as many days at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championships at Ithaca College on Saturday.

Pocius finished fourth overall on the uneven bars with a score of 9.675, earning All-America honors. She also earned All-America accolades on Friday in the all-around competition.

The junior was the lone representative from Springfield College in Saturday's individual championships after finishing tied for second on day one of the competition on the bars. On Friday, Pocius broke her own school record in the event, scoring a 9.775.

Pocius becomes the first All-American on the bars for the Pride since Kristen Fairburn and Audrey Lastra both earned the honor in 2007.
