Sobel and Farrar Take Home All-America Honors on 3-Meter Board
Knoxville, Tenn. - March 26, 2011 - The duo of Brian Sobel and Brooks Farrar each earned All-America status on the three-meter board at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening.
Farrar placed seventh in the finals as he totaled 501.60 points, while Sobel finished eighth with 492.85 points to wrap up his illustrious career.
Earlier this week, Sobel took home All-America honors on the one-meter board as he placed third, while Farrar earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after placing 13th.
Sobel qualified for the finals with 469 points, while Farrar snuck into evening session with 465.95 points in the prelims.
Kenny Pancoast totaled 427.10 points but was unable to qualify for the finals.
Springfield finished 20th of 49 scoring teams with 43 points.
