Kyle Mersereau and Ben Burnap Babson Park, Mass. -- April 2, 2012 -- The duo of Ben Burnap and Kyle Mersereau of the Springfield College men's tennis team has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference men's tennis doubles team of the week. Burnap is a junior from Westerly, R.I., while Mersereau is a freshman from Brunswick, Me. They combine to play at No. 2 doubles.

In SC's first match of the week, an 8-1 victory over Rhode Island College, Burnap and Mersereau defeated an Anchorman duo by a score of 8-2.

Over the past weekend, although the team lost to Clark, 5-1, the pair defeated a team from Clark, 9-7. That occurred on Friday. Then on Sunday, in an 8-1 loss to Connecticut College, the duo defeated their No. 2 doubles counterparts, 8-5.
