CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 19, 2003 - Springfield College junior
Marisa Clapp (Charlton, Mass.) captured first place in both the 800-meter run (2:22.39) and the 1,500-meter run (4:43.35) to lead the Pride to a 114-76 victory over MIT in a women's track and field dual meet at Steinbrenner Track in Cambridge.
Senior
Liz Omura (Connelley, N.Y.) took first place in the 100-meter dash (13.80) and the 200-meter dash (27.66). Freshman
Ashley Miner (Sanbornton, N.H.) and junior
Leanne Liguori (Westerly, R.I.) finished in first and second place respectively in the 400-meter dash with times of 1:02.21 and 1:03.85.
Junior
Leyla Williams (Unionville, N.Y.) won the hammer throw (45.74 meters) and senior
Erin Pac (Farmington, Conn.) took home first place in the shot put (11.63 meters).
MIT's Cat Tweedie won both the high jump and pole vault.
