



Springfield, Mass. - October 31, 2010 - The Springfield College men's soccer team earned the fifth seed in the upcoming New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament after finishing the regular season with an 11-7-1 record, including a 2-2-1 record in league play.As the fifth seed, Springfield will travel to take on Coast Guard on Wednesday in the 4/5 matchup of the tournament. The winner of the game will travel to take on top-seeded Babson on Saturday.
Earlier this season, Coast Guard bested the Pride, 2-0, in rainy and sloppy conditions on October 1st. In that game, Springfield played the majority of the second half a man-down after a Springfield player was issued a red card.

Steffen Siebert enters his second season at the helm of the Springfield College men's soccer program in the fall of 2013. After three seasons as an assistant coach, Siebert led the Pride to its second-straight trip to the NEWMAC Championship in his first season. Read more.
