Women's Soccer Falls To Brandeis, 3-1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 19, 2004 - Springfield College senior
Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) scored the only goal of the match for the Pride but SC fell to Brandeis University, 3-1, in a non-conference match this afternoon on Brock-Affleck Field.
The Judges jumped out to a quick lead with a goal from sophomore
Melissa Gordon in the sixth minute, and then cushioned the advantage when sophomore
Lisa Kaplan scored in the 23rd minute.
Desroches notched her fifth goal of the season off of a pass from senior
Meghan McTear (Barre, Vt.) in the 58th minute to bring SC within a goal, but Brandeis scored in the 87th minute to put the match out of reach.
SC (2-2-1) is back in action on Thursday, Sept. 23 when it hosts Amherst College at 4:30 p.m. on Brock-Affleck Field.

Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in five of the last seven years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country.
