Men's Cross Country Places 10th At Southern Maine
CUMBERLAND, Maine, October 18, 2003 - Springfield College sophomore
Meghan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) finished a team-best 16th overall (23:39) as the Pride ran to a ninth-place finish place at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday.
SC sophomore
Emily Michaud (Caribou, Maine) finished with an overall time of 24:32, good for 27th place.
Trinity College won the meet with an score of 21 points.
On the men's side, SC junior
Patrick Derocco (Utica, N.Y.) finished 49th with a time of 28:35 to lead the Pride to 10th overall. Senior
Brian Pearsall (Fairport, N.Y.) placed 58th with a time of 28:47.
Next up for both teams is the NEWMAC Cross-Country Championships at Clark on Sat., November 1.

Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
