Williamstown, Mass. - September 22, 2013 -Junior Adam Ziewacz (Simsbury, Conn.) shot a pair of rounds in the 70's to help lead the Springfield College golf team at the Williams Invitational this weekend at Taconic Golf Club.
As a team, the Pride finished 21st out of 24 teams after totaling 677 strokes. Host Williams won the title with 607 strokes, followed by RPI (611), Trinity (612), Skidmore (614), and Middlebury (618).
Ziewacz tied for 11th overall after posting a first round 75 and following with a 77 on Sunday. David Hashagen (Morris Plains, N.J.) continued to play for the Pride, tallying an 83 and 86 on the weekend.
After shooting an 88 on Saturday Kyle DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) rebounded with an 82 on Sunday. Alec Leung (Milford, Mass.) recorded rounds of 95 and 92, while Mike Nowakowski (East Hampton, Conn.) rounded out the Pride's scoring with a 101 and 91.
The Pride will now prep to defend it's NECC Championship and try to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship when it competes Oct. 5-6 at Wedgewood Pines Country Club.
