



A native of Lee, Mass., Walker has hit the ground running in her first season with the Pride. The freshman guard leads the team in scoring with 18 points per game. She has connected on 9-of-14 (64.3%) from behind the arc and gone 15-of-18 (83.3%) from the charity stripe. She has also added 5.7 rebounds per game and registered a team-best nine steals.
In her first collegiate game, Walker netted 16 points and grabbed five boards in the Pride's 67-59 loss to William Paterson in the opening game of the DeSales Invitational. Walker then responded the next day with a 19-point, eight-rebound effort as the Pride rolled past Widener, 86-74.
Walker continued to pour it on against Williams on November 20, as her 19 points led the way for Springfield en route to a 68-52 win. It was the first time the Pride had won at Williams since January 11, 2000. Walker was sensational as she went 7-11 from the field, including 4-6 from downtown. She also added five assists, four steals, and four rebounds in the victory.
The Pride return to action on Tuesday, November 27, when it travels to take on Western Connecticut. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm.
