Men's Track & Field Competes At BU FasTrack, MIT Co-Ed Invitationals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Springfield College junior Matt Acciaioli (Warwick, R.I.) finished first in the shot put, and junior All-American Blake Gulino (Old Saybrook, Conn.) won the long jump to lead the Pride at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational, Saturday.

Acciaioli's throw of 52 feet, 1/2 inch provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division III Championships. Gulino, who finished third in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships last winter, lept to an effort of 22 feet, 4 inches.

Also on Saturday, senior Pawel Jaroszewicz (East Longmeadow, Mass.) finished eighth in the 400-meter dash at the FasTrack Invitational, hosted by Boston University. Jaroszewicz logged a season-best and NCAA Championsip provisional time of 48.35.
