



Springfield, Mass. – November 18, 2008 – Nine Springfield College wrestlers have earned individual rankings in the initial 2008-09 New England Wrestling Association’s rankings. The Pride are represented in nine of the ten weight classes, only missing out in the 197 lb. category.
Jesse Sgaglione (Massapequa, N.Y.) is currently ranked sixth in the 125 lb. class, while sophomore Blaze Chatham (Walkill, N.Y.), a quarterfinalist at the Ithaca Invitational a week ago, is ranked second in the 133 class.
Ryan McGilvray (Manalapan, N.J.), also a quarterfinalist at Ithaca, is ranked fifth in the 141 lb. class. Also ranked fifth, this time in the 149 lb. class, is senior captain Oscar Orellana (Tom Rivers, N.J.), a 2008 National Wrestling Coaches Association DIII Scholar All-American.
Senior Rob Mifsud (Somers, N.Y.) is ranked the fourth-best wrestler in the 157 lb. class, while junior Chris Perry (East Fishkill, N.Y.) earned third in the 165 lb. class. Sophomore Victor Stanziale (Bloomfield N.J.) had a solid weekend finishing fourth in the 174-pound classification at Ithaca, and currently ranks third in his weight class.
Rounding out the Pride's ranked wrestlers include Greg Dussol (Amston, Conn.), who finished runner up in the 184-pound weight classification at Ithaca and is now ranked fourth in that class. Lastly, senior Chris Brown (East Hartford, Conn.), a 2008 NEWA All-New England selection, ranks third in the 285 lb. class.

Jason Holder will enter his second season as head wrestling coach in 2012. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
