SPRINGFIELD, Mass., September 26, 2002- Springfield College junior Eric Sudnick (Southampton, Mass.) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal as the Pride defeated Western New England College, 4-1, at Suprenant Field on Thursday.

The lone goal of the first half came in the 27th minute, as junior midfielder Brett Oberacker (Bethel, Conn.) scored. The Pride never looked back, as they went on to score three more goals in the second half to even their season record at 4-4.

The goaltending tandem of Tom Bowden (Havertown, Pa.) and Steve Paige (East Longmeadow, Mass.) helped the Pride win their second consecutive road game as they saved four shots throughout the course of the match.
