The Pride have been in the midst of an tremendous run of success, winning three-straight NCAA Division III National Championships. Under the direction of Sullivan, Springfield has reeled off a 101-10 record against Division III opponents over the past four years.
This season, Springfield swept Endicott, Carthage, and host Juniata in the NCAA's to claim the ninth national championship in program history. The Pride was led by the standout play of Luis Vega (Corozal, Puerto Rico), who earned Most Outstanding Player honors for the second-straight season.
The celebration will begin on campus on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 pm in the Richard Flynn Campus Union as students are encouraged to celebrate the championship with the team with cake and an opportunity to take a picture with the national championship trophy before sending the team off to Fenway.
