Springfield, Mass. -- April 4, 2009 -- Nikki Hay had an outstanding meet, but it just wasn't quite enough as her Springfield College women's track & field team fell one point shy of Middlebury, and finished second in its own Springfield Meet at SC's Blake Track this afternoon under cloudy skies. Middlebury scored 176 points to win it, followed by Springfield (175), Williams (142), Amherst (54), and Stevens Institute of Technology (16).

Hay wound up winning the 100-meter dash (12.34 seconds), the 200 meters (25.84 seconds), the long jump (17-6), and the triple jump (37-5 1/4).
