Keene State Edges Baseball, 1-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 2, 2003- Springfield College sophomore
Brian Royal (Orange, Mass.) hurled 8 2/3 innings, struck out nine and gave up just one run but the Pride fell to Keene State, 1-0, on Wednesday at Berry-Allen Field in a non-conference game.

Ryan Kohler (Alstead, N.H.), senior
Corey Hartson (Merrimack, N.H.), and senior
Buzzy Francis (Bedford, N.H.) combined on a six-hit shutout for the Owls (3-10). Kohler pitched six innings, allowing five hits and striking out seven to pick up his first win. Francis pitched a scoreless ninth and struck out three to earn his first save.
The lone run of the game came in the top of the fourth when junior
Justin Hickman (Mount Vernon, N.H.) drove in senior
John Trubiano (Keene, N.H.) on a sacrifice fly to left field.
