



Complete List of QualifiersSpringfield, Mass. - March 7, 2011 - Two Springfield College student athletes will head to Columbus, Ohio for the 2011 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this upcoming weekend. Kevin Coyle will compete in both the long jump and triple jump, while Kelly Curtis will participate in the pentathlon.
This year, Coyle will compete in both the long jump and triple jump at the NCAA Championships. Coyle enters ranked fifth in the long jump after reaching a qualifying mark of 7.18m (23-6 3/4) on December 4th in the Springfield College Field House. In the triple jump, Coyle is seeded ninth after jumping a distance of 14.65m (48-0 3/4) at last weekend's ECAC Division III Championships.
For Coyle, this marks his second-consecutive trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships. Last season, Coyle achieved All-American status in the long jump with a distance of 6.85 meters (22-5 3/4) as he placed eighth.
In her first season in Maroon and White, Curtis will compete in the pentathlon at this year's NCAA Championships. Curtis qualified at the Division III New England Championships when she totaled 3,240 points and enters the event seeded 12th.

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
