Nine Softball Student-Athletes Named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes

Springfield College Softball Louisville, Ky. – October 17, 2013 - The Springfield College softball team had nine student-athletes named 2013 All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The award was given to student-athletes who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2012-13 academic year. Receiving the honor were Allison Clott (Newton, Mass.), Allison Rivelli (North Kingstown, R.I.), Ashley Marino (Harrison, N.Y.), Caitlyn Holik (South Windsor, Conn.), Christina Leader (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), Johanna Burke (Oxford, Mass.), Kelly Blake (Watertown, Conn.), Samantha Rentz (Griswold, Conn.) and Taylor Page (Northborough, Mass.).

The Pride was also named a 2012-13 NFCA All-Academic team. Springfield ranked 26th in the country out of 400-plus Division III softball programs with a team GPA of 3.43.
