Springfield, Mass. - September 23, 2008 - Springfield College senior Greg Levings has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.Levings, who hails from Averill Park, N.Y. finished first amongst NECC golfers at the Williams Invitational at the Taconic Golf Course in Williamstown, Mass over the weekend.
He shot seven over par in the event with a first round 76 and final round of 73 for a total of 149 stokes. He led the Pride to a 16th place finish out of 20 teams (324-317=641).
Joe Eadie enters his 19th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
