



Springfield, Mass. - May 11, 2010 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team had seven student-athletes recognized for their academic success as they were selected to the 2010 Pilgrim Lacrosse League All-Academic Team on Tuesday afternoon.In order to make the team, a student athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and be a significant contributor to his team.
Springfield's selections included Joe Heney, Jarrid Johnson, Joe Macchi, Ross Marchegiani, Cory Schwarzkopf, Vinny Senatore, and Pete Sessa.
Macchi, Sessa, and Schwarzkopf were also honored for their play on the field as they were each selected to the Pilgrim League All-Conference First Team earlier this week.

Keith Bugbee enters his 31st season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2014. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 327-157 (.676 winning percentage). Read more.
