



Troy, N.Y. -– April 17, 2011 -- The Springfield College women’s tennis
team dropped a match, 6-3, to RPI on Sunday with matches
played both inside at the AS+RC and outside at Sharp Courts on the RPI
campus due to the weather.With the victory, the Engineers improved to 10-3 on the season and have now won six of their last seven matches. The Pride slipped to 5-10 on the year.
After winning two out of three doubles matches, RPI won the second, fourth, fifth and sixth singles matches.
Springfield claimed victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles behind Amy Shaw and Vanessa Senecal.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
