WORCESTER, Mass. - Springfield College senior forward
Brianne Tompkins (Stormville, N.Y.) scored a pair of first-half goals to lead the Pride to a 4-0 win at WPI in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) field hockey action.
Tompkins opened the scoring with an unassisted goal 3:56 into the game. Senior back
Maylese Leyva (Harwich, Mass.) scored on assist from junior
Jen Durgin (Gorham, Maine) at the 24:40 mark before Tompkins' second goal, assisted by senior forward
Amy Bartholomew (Enfield, Conn.), at the 32:17 mark, put the Pride up 3-0 at halftime.
Junior midfielder
Lydia Grant (Granby, Conn.) added the final goal of the game at the 65:12 mark on an assist from junior back

Lindsey Pardue (Houston, Texas) made for saves for her third shutout of the season for the Pride (8-4, 3-0 NEWMAC).
