Amherst Defeats Men's Soccer, 7-1

SPRINGFIELD, MASS., October 2, 2002- Springfield College midfielder Mike Fregosi (Carmel, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Pride in the 41st minute as Springfield College was defeated by Amherst on Wednesday, 7-1.

Fregosi's goal came off a feed from Kevin Caster (Wilbraham, Mass.).

Freshman forward Joe Gannon (Hanson, Mass.) scored three goals for Amherst as the Lord Jeffs improved to 3-2-1 on the season.

Springfield College (4-5-1) will host Clark on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00 pm on Brock-Affleck Field.
