



Scarpetti, currently ranked fifth in New England in the 174-pound weight class by the New England Wresting Association, had a solid showing at the Duals. He recorded a 4-2 record, including a pair of pins, in six matches for the Pride.
The Lititz, Pa. native opened up with a key-pin at the 4:06 mark as the Pride rallied to hand No. 10 Ithaca it's first dual meet loss of the season, 21-15. The Pride advanced to take on Case Western and cruised to a 33-10 victory. In the win, Scarpetti picked up a 10-3 decision win for the Pride. In the third meet of the afternoon, the Pride dropped a 29-12 decision to No. 20 UW-Whitewater. In that meet, Scarpetti once again pinned his opponent in 2:33 to move to 3-0 on the day.
On the second day, the Pride opend up the day with a win over Baldwin Wallace, 20-17, despite Scarpetti dropping his match. 14th-ranked York topped the Pride, 24-18, as Scarpetti defeated his opponent by a 10-3 margin. Scarpetti dropped his final match of the Duals as the 9th-ranked TCNJ Lions defeated the Pride, 35-7.
Springfield returns to action on Sunday when they wrestle in the NECCWA Duals at Bridgewater State.
