Maylese Leyva (Harwich, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season off a penalty corner with 24:49 left in the second half to lift No. 14 Springfield over Eastern Connecticut State, 3-0, this evening at Benedum Field.

Maria Russo (Glen Gardener, N.J.) capped the scoring with a goal off a penalty stroke with 10 seconds remaining.

Lindsay Pardue (Houston, Texas) made three stops in the game while her counterpart, Eastern Connecticut State freshman goalie
Michelle Santora (Greenwich, Conn.), recorded 11 stops.
The Pride improves to 4-2 on the season while the Warriors fall to 2-4.
