Chris Brock of Nichols shot a 75 to become the medalist in the Invitational.
For Springfield, junior Mike LaJoie (Enfield, Conn.) tied for 14th place after shooting a team-best 80. Sherriff Balogun (Modesto, Calif.) shot an 82 for the Pride, which tied him for 23rd, while Greg Levings (Averill Park, N.Y.) shot an 83, tying him for 26th. Junior Bryan Andersen (Enfield, Conn.) tied for 41st with an 87, while Aaron Simons (Enfield, Conn.) finished off the scoring for the Pride with a 93.
Springfield will next compete at a tourney next Wednesday (April 30) hosted by Franklin Pierce at the Shattuck Golf Club in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
Joe Eadie enters his 19th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
