Springfield Wrestling Ranked Third in Latest NEWA Poll

Eddie Giron Bristol, R.I. -- November 8, 2010 -- The Springfield College wrestling team dropped one notch to third in the latest New England Wrestling Association poll following its fifth-place finish at the Ithaca Invitational this past weekend.

Williams College remained first with 12 first-place votes and 137 points. Johnson & Wales moved into second place with 123 points and one first-place vote. Springfield rounded out the top three with 115 points and the remaining first-place vote.

In fourth through 10th were Wesleyan with 88 points, Rhode Island College with 84 points, Plymouth State with 65 points, Bridgewater State (0-2) with 57 points, Roger Williams University (1-0) with 53 points, Southern Maine (0-2) with 33 points, and Trinity with six points.
