SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 12,2003 – Springfield College junior
Marisa Clapp (Charlton, Mass.) finished first in the 800-meter run (2:19.00) and second in the 1500-meter run (4:40.20) at the Springfield College Invitational on Saturday afternoon on Blake Track.
There were no team scores.
Pride senior
Erin Pac (Farmington, Conn.) took first place in the 100-meter hurdles (15.00) and senior
Sara Michitson (Haverhill, Mass.) finished first in the javelin throw (32.05 meters).
SC freshman
Alisha Miner (Sanbornton, N.H.) placed second in the 400-meter dash (1:01.60), while sophomore
Leah Sullivan (Northboro, Mass.) took second in the shot put (11.52 meters).

Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
