The 6-6 sophomore led Springfield to a perfect 4-0 weekend to win the MIT Invitational and extend their winning streak to 17.
This marks the fourth time this season that a Springfield College men's volleyball player has earned the award. Teammates Angel Perez, Alistair Matthews, and Greg Falcone have all earned the national honor this season. By achieving this feat, it makes Springfield the first school in AVCA Player of the Week history to have four different players win the player of the week honor in one season.
O'Leary started his week against Philadelphia Biblical where he had four kills, (.667 hitting percentage) three aces and six total blocks before resting against Bard later that day.
He was back in action against No. 8 Medaille where he hit .400 with five kills and another six blocks. The Reading, Pa. native then turned in his best match when he totaled 13 kills, hit .545 and added another three blocks in their finals win over No. 13 Elmira.
For the week, the sophomore averaged 2.44 kills and 1.56 blocks per set while hitting .526. With their record currently standing at 29-5, Springfield has set the program record for most wins in a season.
