



Springfield, Mass. - December 11, 2008 - Nikki Hay made the most of the first ever indoor track meet in Springfield College history as she qualified for the NCAA Championships in three events, which was more than enough for her to be named the ECAC Division III Track Athlete of the Week.The Norwalk, Conn. native won four events, andqualified provisionally for the NCAA Division III Championships in three.
The junior qualified for the 55-meter dash (7.25 seconds), the long jump (17-11 ½ feet), and in the triple jump (37-11½ feet). She also claimed the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.48 seconds.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
