



Phoenix, Ariz. - March 18, 2010 - The Springfield College baseball team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with an 11-10 win over Minot State from North Dakota on Thursday afternoon. Catcher Karl Quist (New Preston, Conn.) went 3-for-5, with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs scored as the Pride now stands at 4-3 on the season.Senior righthander Chris Collard (Coventry, R.I.) picked up the victory in relief.
The bats were working for the Pride on Thursday. Besides Quist's exploits, junior infielder Lou Nucci (Huntington, N.Y.) went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, two RBI's, and a triple. Freshman Kyle DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) went 2-for-5 with two RBI's and a double. And junior infielder Mike Robilotto (East Meadow, N.Y.) went 3-for-5 with three RBI's, including a two-run home run.
Up next, Springfield will play host to perennial NEWMAC-power Wheaton College Sunday, March 21 for a doubleheader at Berry-Allen Field beginning at 12 noon.
