Versprille Tabbed NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Anne Versprille Boston, Mass. - March 10, 2014 - Springfield College's Anne Versprille (Franklin, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

The senior goalkeeper is off to a great start to the 2014 season, leading Springfield to a 3-1 record with her efforts between the pipes. The Physical Education major has registered 18 saves thus far, producing a goals against average of 4.95.

Springfield has notched wins over Eastern Connecticut, Roger Williams and Plymouth State to start the season. Up next, the Pride will host Trinity on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. on Stagg Field.
