



HOUSTON, Texas, March 17, 2007 – Paul McCloskey competed for Springfield College at the NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Houston’s Campus Recreational, Fitness, and Wellness Center this past weekend (March 15-17). He was the lone competitor for the Pride at this year’s nationals.
McCloskey, a senior tri-captain from Brookfield, Conn., swam three events for SC. On Thursday, the first day of competition, Paul swam the 500 free. He finished 30th with a time of 4:41.24.
On Friday, he finished 29th in the 200 free with a time of 1:42.81.
Then finally on Saturday, he finished 26th in the 1000 free with a time of 16:30.38.
McCloskey thus finished his fine career for the Pride at the highest of venues.

John Taffe enters his 24th season in 2012-2013 as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming teams at Springfield College. Under Taffe’s leadership, the Pride has returned to its status as one of the best collegiate swimming and diving programs in Division III. Read more.
