Rein Chosen To Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-America Second Team

Rein Chosen To Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-America Second Team Springfield, Mass. - November 24, 2009 - Senior Morgan Rein was honored for her tremendous final season for the Pride as she was named a 2009 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-America Second Team honoree.

Earlier this month, Rein was named to the New England East Region First Team, the second time in her career she earned all-region honors. Rein was just one of two players from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) to earn All-American honors. Molly McShane from MIT was also named to the second team.

Rein had a breakout senior season as she moved to forward for the Pride. The Mystic, Conn. native finished the season with a team-best 36 points as she tied for the team-lead in goals with 11 and led the offense with 14 assists. She has recorded five game-winning goals as she served as co-captain. Rein also finished the year as the league leader in assists per game with .67.

Over the weekend, Rein competed in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game at Mount Holyoke College. Rein was outstanding, capping off her collegiate career with a goal in that game.
